10th June 2010                                                                         Newsletter No: 34

Dear Parents/Carers,

We welcome Chloe, Adelaide and Ethan into years 5, 4 and 1.

As you read this, year 6 and I will be on camp.

I hope you all received your letter about classes for next year. Everyone will have visited their new teacher/class on Wednesday morning.

It will be Open evening on 15th July 4-6 p.m. No appointments just a chance to look at the work your child has done this year and to visit the new classroom and teacher.

With this hot weather please can all pupils have a water bottle and sun hat in school and staff are not allowed to put sun cream on so please can you apply it before school. If your child suffers from hay fever or eczema and need to stay off the field at lunchtimes, please can you let Mrs Bendeaux know?

Class 1 parents are all invited to a numeracy session at 2.30 Thursday 17th June in the hall.

Today we had a visit from Les from Sporting Heroes. Our school has been chosen to take part in a National initiative leading up to the Olympics in 2012.  Christian Malcolm will be visiting the school on 21st June. He is one of Britain’s best sprinters and raced against Usain Bolt in the last Olympics. This week pupils will be bringing home sponsor forms with 60% going towards PE equipment in school and 40% to the charity sporting our athletes in the next Olympics.
