Dear Parents, Welcome back to another school year and a special welcome to all of the new Reception children. Thank you to last year’s year 6 for the outdoor playground clock it is brilliant. We hope you are all getting on well at your new schools. Well done to everyone who contributed to the Iron Acton Horticultural show, we certainly have some talented pupils. A special well done to Growing club who won first and third prize for their carrots and second for their onions. Thank you to everyone who watered plants over the summer holidays and to Sandie and Pippa for preparing the produce for the show. Year 6 pupils should all have brought home a large booklet “Admission to Secondary Schools in South Gloucestershire” which contains all the information and the application form you need. Please note the deadline for applying for a secondary school place is 23rd October 2009. Club letters went out Monday and the clubs start next week. Gym Club will be starting on Wednesday 16th September from 3.20 to 4.20 pm. Full details have been sent out already. Please note there is a charge for this club. We would also like to update our records and check if there are any asthma/allergy sufferers whom we are not aware of please. Guitar players please note that lessons begin on Thursday 17th September and if anyone is interested in joining please visit the office. No Stars of the week yet
