11th February 2010                                                                        Newsletter No: 21

 Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you are all getting ready for the Valentine disco tomorrow night in the village hall. Tickets and more information from Mrs Hatherell and Mrs Fuller.

The home access programme plans to provide free laptops with one year’s Broadband access to low income families. As a rough guide the eligibility criteria are people receiving income support, income based job seekers allowance or child tax credit (an income less than £16,040). The criteria are the same as free schools meals although families do not need to be receiving free school meals. More information can be found from the school office or the Home access website http://homeaccess.org.uk or http://www.nextgenerationlearning.org.uk/Home- Access

Following feedback from PALs, Mrs Parry is setting up a texting service so we can inform you of important changes such as snow closures, club cancellations etc - more news after half term.

We are still trying to set up after school child care facilities. I have met with the local authority this week.

Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxing half term. Let’s hope we get rid of all those bugs.

Don’t forget book week when we come back- story time evening on the Wednesday 6-7 p.m, dressing up day Friday and books on sale after school Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
