Dear parents,

Thank you for all of your patience and support during these snowy days.

I apologise for the confusion over snow closures yesterday. I appreciate there were conflicting messages between the local radios and South Gloucestershire’s web site (even if you could get on it). In the past I was able to telephone the radio stations directly. This year the local authority stated that all schools had to e mail them and they would update the radio stations. I waited until 7:15 as I was trying to keep the school open. I emailed South Glos at7.20 a.m. and the rest was up to them.

We are considering a texting system in future but I have had mixed feedback as to how effective this is.

Hopefully this is the end of it…. .
