18th March                                                             Newsletter No: 25

 Dear Parents/Carers,

End of term church service 1.45 p.m. on Thursday 1st April,  parents are welcome to take their children home straight after.

Thank you to everyone for making such a big effort to get everyone here by 8.55 – it is certainly leading to a more prompt start to the day.

Miss Brooks, Mrs Jones and I are in Crete for the second meeting of the Comenius schools. Class 2 have been busy drawing their gardens and finding local recipes - thank you everyone who sent one in. Each class has been busy cooking: Class 3 has been busy cooking bread, class 2 have made jam tarts and class 1 followed the adventures of the gingerbread man. Mel Hatcher (James and Jenny’s mum) came in to tell us all about jam and chutney making and we did some tasting. I hope you will all come and see our recipe book on parents’ evening.

Friday 19th March is an inset day and the school is closed to all pupils.

The sales of ‘Arachnophobia’ raised £37.50 for the Haiti earthquake appeal – well done.

May I remind year 6 parents that all camp money must be paid by the end of next week.
