22nd April 2010 Newsletter No: 28
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you all had a relaxing break. Fortunately everyone seems to be safely back in the UK not stranded abroad.
The Friends AGM planned for the 28th April has been postponed.
We are gradually getting used to being in the playground until 8.55 a.m. You are welcome to leave your child once there is a member of staff on duty. To help the children become independent please can you let them carry their own belongings to the classroom - we will make sure nothing is left in the playground!
Most clubs started this week. Gym Club will recommence this Wednesday 28th April after school. New members welcome. Letters are available now for everyone who wishes to join. (There is a charge for this club, usually £30 for 10 weeks).
At the end of clubs the driveway is used by staff and contractors after school so please can parents meet their child in the playground.
Baguettes and jacket potatoes are very popular. As Julie needs to order in ingredients these must be ordered on a Monday for the following week- spare order forms are on the web site and in the office.
Good luck to the multi skills team from year 2 who are competing at the South Gloucestershire sports festival on Saturday. Also to the hockey team who are competing at Brimsham Green next Tuesday.
Olivia Cowell has recorded her very own debut CD with 3 songs on it. Copies are selling for £5 with all proceeds going to Cancer research. If you would like a copy please ask her dad Andy or ask in the office.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs J Bendeaux
Head teacher
