25th November 2009 Newsletter No: 11
Dear Parents,
This week we are joined by Head teachers and staff from Crete, Hungary, Netherlands and Sweden. Iron Acton and Broadway school successfully bid for funding for a 2 year project looking at how different schools use the outdoor learning environment to improve learning. The schools have already exchanged electronic newsletters and are all busy preparing digital introductions to their school.
The visitors will be in school Friday morning.
PALS are meeting on Thursday 3rd December in The Lamb Inn (opposite school) at 9am – all are welcome. Mrs Burchell will be doing a presentation on modern foreign languages and would welcome any questions before hand.
Thank you for supporting children in Need. The children looked so colourful and we raised £85.84
We collected 1,450 Morrison’s vouchers, which have been used to order a variety of garden equipment. A huge thank you to Freya and Joseph who counted the vouchers and ordered the items form the catalogue. Thank you everyone.
- We still desperately need a casual lunch break supervisor to fill in for illness/ unexpected absences - like a supply teacher does in school. If you are interested and/or would like more details just let Mrs Bendeaux, Mrs Hall or Mrs Parry know.
Stars of the week
Class 1 Tilly Fantastic story writing
Class 2 Josh k Working hard in Maths
Year 4/5 Jade Putting best effort into everything
Year 6 Jennifer Being a star in Numeracy
Yours sincerely
Mrs J Bendeaux
