5th March 2010 Newsletter No: 23 Dear Parents/Carers, Well done to everyone for the wonderful character costumes on book week - there were some very inventive ideas. You bought £400 of books so each class was given £50 to spend on books. Unfortunately, Mrs Burchell is unable to come to parents’ evening on Tuesday 30th March so she will offer 4-8 p.m appointments on the Wednesday or she will arrange a separate appointment with you. Newsletter by email – May I thank all the parents who have subscribed to have their newsletters via email and could I please ask if there are any other families who could receive by email please contact the office. We are now in a position to test the new texting service. We will be sending a text to all parents at 11.00 tomorrow morning. If you do not receive a text please let us know. It is your responsibility to ensure we have up to date contact details. It is still early days so please bear with us as we iron out any logistical problems. Alex, Charlie and Oliver are still selling their Alex Rider story entitled ‘Arachnophobia’ for another week. We can now offer Guitar lessons for any other pupils who are interested in learning to play after Easter – please visit the office for more details. If your child is booked into an after school club and they are unable to go please could you let the teacher running the club know. At ICT club this week 4 pupils did not turn up and it took staff a considerable amount of time to ensure they were safe. Football club will start after Easter and a letter will be sent home soon.
