Dear parents,

Welcome to the new term. I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

On behalf of all the staff, can I say a huge thank you for all of your Christmas cards, gifts and kind messages.

Wasn’t it a lovely surprise to have all this snow? I hope you all enjoyed the extra holidays and that those of you who work were not inconvenienced too much.

I would like to send an enormous thank you to Pat Taylor our wonderful caretaker for her hard work this week. She was at school before 6 a.m to give me a site update and back in the afternoons gritting and clearing the paths.  She definitely goes the extra mile for school and we are very fortunate to have her.

Deliveries to the school kitchen have been affected. Mrs Wilding will do her best to stick to the planned menu but it will depend on what arrives in school.

Clubs begin next week. ICT (Wednesday), drama (Thursday) and KS1 gym (Wednesday). There will be no Growing club or football club until the warmer weather comes.

I hope years 3, 4 and 5 enjoyed their swimming lesson this week. On Monday afternoons this term Mrs Kemp and Miss Brooks will be preparing year 6 for their SATs and Mrs Bendeaux will be working with year 2s.

Yours Sincerely

Mrs J Bendeaux
